About Us

On January 6th 2020, I suffered a spinal cord injury due to a car accident that left me paralyzed from the neck down. I was told due to the severity of my injury that I would never walk again. In an instance not only did I lose my ability to walk but to provide for myself and children, physically, emotionally and financially. A once self sufficient person, I was now completely reliant on the assistance of my family, friends and my medical team. Throughout my recovery journey I kept my mindset committed to completing each task my therapist presented me with without resistance and to always do my best. Wiggle Your Big Toe was born from the hope that if you have the ability to conquer just one obstacle, you have the ability to overcome any task you’re faced with.

It’s almost here!

June's SCI, Paralysis, and Mobility Deficit Support Group is coming up soon!

This month, we'll be discussing Temperature Control for Individuals with Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI) and exploring the unique challenges of staying safe and comfortable during Arizona's summer heat. Together, we'll share experiences, resources, practical tips, and solutions for managing temperature regulation and preventing heat-related complications.

We welcome all individuals affected by SCI, paralysis, and mobility deficits, as well as caregivers and supporters, to join us in a safe, supportive environment. This is an opportunity to connect with others, share your experiences, learn from peers, and receive encouragement from people who understand your journey.

We look forward to seeing you there and continuing to build a strong, supportive community together.
